One of the best parts of being classified as a hobbyist is you don’t have anyone paying you to take their photos which means you can take your photos. Another fun aspect is that you can try and test various techniques without being overly concerned with the final product.
I can experiment with different styles of photography like HDR, light painting, black and white and the post processing is probably my best past time at the moment. I have been learning on my own steam how to use various photo processing software programs through trial and error.
You can photograph people or landscapes. I’ve always believed that the best way to learn how something works is to just get out and start using it.
Being classified as a hobbyist makes it so much easier to ask for feedback and take critique as it is a learning experience.
I travel quite extensively and always find myself looking for opportunities to capture moments I find interesting and share that with followers on my various social media platforms and my website.
